Before Surgery

Your Pre-Op Checklist

We’ll provide detailed instructions during your consultation, but here’s what to expect:

Initial Consultation

Well discuss your condition and symptoms. Either video-linked or a physical appointment. No referral needed.

Physical Examination

We will assess with Ultrasound, measure the size of the abdominal binder. You may be asked to bring lab results and imaging reports.

Pre-Surgery Prep

For some cases (especially rectus diastasis), we may recommend specific exercises to prepare your core.

Facebook Group

You may be invited to our private Facebook group for patients undergoing our care.

Prescription s and medical certificates

Medical certificate for occupationally tailored sick leave.

Logistic planning

Instructions on "what-to-bring" to the clinic, transporttation home after surgery, communication with realtives.

After Surgery & Recovery

What Recovery Looks Like

Our approach minimizes downtime and maximizes your return to movement.

Discharge

Discharge planning depending on day surgery or overnight postop observation.

Pain Management

Postoperative discomfort or pain is expected. We will provide adequate pain relief medication.

Follow-Up Appointments

Scheduled follow ups, normally at 2 weeks, 2 months and 1 year after surgery.

Rehabilitation

Guided rehabilitation according to our TOR concept.

Return to Work

Tailored sick leave. Normally 4 weeks full time and 2 weeks half time (after diastasis surgery).

Full Activity

Typically after 4-6 months (after diastasis surgery), 4-6 weeks (inguinal hernia surgery).
